Admission Process
  1. Submit completed documentation. Applications will not be considered until all documents are received. It is the parents' responsibility to make sure the materials have reached CAJ. Application documents.

  2. Documents will be reviewed:

    • If documentation indicates ineligibility, parents will be notified.
    • If documentation indicates potential eligibility, the administration will make arrangements for testing and/or an interview (admissions interview schedule). Those needing testing may need to come one day for testing and the next day for the interview.
  3. Testing
    • If standardized test documentation is not available for third graders and above, the applicant may be asked to take a standardized test. The testing fee is ¥5,000.
    • If a first grade applicant has not successfully completed a year in an English-speaking kindergarten, a readiness test may be required.
    • English language testing may be required of non-native speakers of English. The testing fee is ¥5,000.
  4. Interview: The interview includes both the parents and the student.
  5. Decisions: We will communicate with you in written form regarding enrollment decisions.
