Varsity volleyball beats Yokota 3-1 and loses 3-0 to Edgren

The varsity volleyball team played two games at Yokota on Friday. The Knights beat Yokota 3-1 (25-22, 21-25, 25-15, 25-17) and lost 3-0 to Edgren (17-25, 17-25, 22-25). The win and the loss moved the Knights' record to 5-6.

Coach Steve Hall noted that the results of the games were not indicative of how CAJ played.

Against Yokota, Hall said there were "a lot of ups and downs throughout this match. We played to the level of the competition." Against Edgren, Hall commented that the team "played a much better overall match. Once again, we played to the level of the competition, but this time in a good way. Edgren is a good team."

The varsity team's next game is not until the ASIJ Volleyball Tournament from October 17 to 19. The JV team plays Saturday, also at Yokota against Yokota and Edgren.
