Varsity volleyball wins against Yokota 3-1

The varsity volleyball team defeated Yokota 3-1 (14-25, 27-25, 25-10, 25-21) on Tuesday night at home. The win moved CAJ''s season record to 2-0.

"In the first game, we weren't aggressive," coach Steve Hall said. "We let balls fall on the floor between people and we weren't aggressive at the net, and that cost us. We also had a lot of service errors."

The Knights warmed up quickly, though, and they were able to find their strength in serving and at the net. CAJ stayed on the offensive most of the remainder game, forcing the Panthers to receive lots of well-hit serves and spikes.

Hall said the key with this team moving forward is staying consistent, especially as it prepares for opponents that do more attacking at the net.

CAJ plays next at home against St. Maur on Saturday at 10 a.m.

1st Singles- Kiara loses 7-1 (forfeit due to wrist injury)
2nd Singles- Jenny loses 8-6
