Ingredients
1/4 cup melted butter or margarine
1/4 cup cocoa
3/4 cup applesauce
1 1/4 cups flour
1 cup sugar
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 cup chopped raisins/nuts

•Glaze (optional)•

1 cup confectioners' sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp milk

Directions
Thoroughly combine melted butter and cocoa before adding applesauce. In large bowl, combine dry ingredients. Blend in cocoa mixture and egg until dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in nuts. Fill 12 greased or paper-lined muffin cups (2 1/2" diameter) 2/3 full with batter. Bake at 350 ̊F for 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Drizzle Glaze on muffins, if desired.
