Hot Cranberry Punch

2 Tbsp whole cloves
1 Tbsp allspice
12" stick cinnamon, broken
1/4 cup brown sugar
4 cups water
1/4 tsp salt
4 cups unsweetened pineapple juice
2 (1 lb) cans jellied cranberry sauce
red food coloring

Put cloves and allspice in a spice bag. Combine spices, cinnamon sticks, sugar, salt, and 1 cup of water. Bring slowly to a boil. Add the pineapple juice, 3 cups water, and cranberry sauce (which has been crushed with a fork). Bring to a boil again and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove spices. Add food coloring and pour into heated punch bowl.

  • Clove studded orange slices may be used for garnish.
